Reading Olympics inspires kids in grades 5-8 to enjoy reading and become lifelong readers. Teams consist of 8 to 16 students who agree to read from a list of 30 books. The culminating event is a county-wide "Celebration of Reading" competition held in the Spring. Attendance at this event is mandatory for all members. At the event, Maple Point teams compete against other Bucks County schools. No team is eliminated! Every team member earns a ribbon based on the number of points earned.
Elementary Reading Olympics will be comprised of 5th graders. It will be held 2 Thursdays per month 3:00-4:00 PM. Reading Olympics will begin in October.
Middle School Reading Olympics will be comprised of 6th, 7th and 8th graders. It will be held 2 Thursdays per month from 3:00-4:00 PM. Reading Olympics will begin in October.
