Principal's Message

Dear Maple Point Family,

Welcome to a new school year at Maple Point Middle School!

My name is Andy Sokol, and I am proud to begin my 13th year as Principal of Maple Point and my 28th year in education overall. As I enter my 18th year in educational leadership, my passion remains the same: to educate and lead all students so that success is always within reach.

At Maple Point, our mission is to support the growth of the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. This is a shared journey, and I believe strongly that our success depends on the strength of our partnerships with families, staff, and our broader school community.

We focus our work around four core goals:

  1. Relationships, responsibilities, and safety are emphasized by all key stakeholders.

  2. High standards and expectations drive academic, behavioral, and emotional growth.

  3. Collaborative problem-solving shapes a positive, supportive school climate.

  4. Equity and inclusion ensure no student, parent, or colleague is left behind.

Together, we aim to instill strong values and a committed work ethic in every student—foundations that will serve them well through high school and beyond. We are committed to providing meaningful, challenging, and engaging learning opportunities that prepare our students for the next chapter of their lives. In return, we expect our students to give their best effort, take initiative, and take pride in their learning.

Communication and connection are vital to our work. The old adage still rings true: “It takes a village to raise a child.”  We—administrators, teachers, support staff, and families—each play a critical role in helping our students make good choices and feel cared for, safe, and supported.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and for being part of the Maple Point family. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if we can support you or your student in any way. We look forward to a fantastic school year ahead!

Warm regards,
Andy Sokol
Principal
